Territorium Joins Velocity Network Foundation

by Eric Stoller

Territorium, a global education technology leader with over 12 million users worldwide, has become the newest member of the Velocity Network Foundation, a nonprofit member-based consortium of multinational, enterprise labor market companies with a shared goal to become the world’s first blockchain-powered “internet of careers.”

Earlier this year, Territorium launched LifeJourney, an AI-powered toolkit designed to facilitate the intersections and transitions between K-12, higher education, and workforce readiness. Through this partnership, Territorium will be able to increase LifeJourney users’ access to verified credentials, allow users to exchange credentials among members, fully integrate into the Velocity Network’s blockchain solution, and develop better access and connections to employers worldwide.

“We are excited to join the Velocity Network Foundation, a proven organization that is driving the next generation of talent,” said Joe Green, Vice President of Product Strategy. “The Velocity Network Foundation and Territorium share the same mission of putting the power in the hands of the individual to control their own verified data and outcomes. We believe this is essential and are happy to provide the technology solutions that empower individuals to take hold of their employment opportunities. The Velocity Network will make verifying Territorium’s millions of credentials much easier for prospective employers.”

Velocity Network Foundation® is a non-profit membership organization hosting the leading workforce-tech and ed-tech vendors and solution providers, as well as NGOs and industry associations representing major labor market stakeholders. Together, they are on a mission to build the next-generation data utility layer underlying the global labor market, Velocity Network™. The Network is a game-changing, blockchain-based, decentralized utility layer that reinvents how education and career records are shared between individuals and organizations, replacing the outdated, fragmented way talent represents their career reputation across the labor market.

Territorium is a global education technology company dedicated to bridging the gap between learning and employability.  Territorium’s solutions enable students to take control of their digital credentials and improve their lifetime earning power through personalized learning, assessments, and career opportunities with a data-rich, skills-based comprehensive learner record (CLR) of each learner’s capabilities.
